HELLO, I’m Dave
Dave has worked as a custodian since 2020. He can unclog a toilet, diagnose a plumbing problem, and clean the cafeteria before you can say, “Fourth grade needs paper towels.”
He’s also an artist and writer based in Brewster, Massachusetts. He started painting in 2020 when the pandemic kept him, and the world, housebound.
Dave works in watercolor and acrylics, produces a zine, and writes fiction. He’s also a founding member of the Urban Sketchers of Cape Cod.
Across all of these works, Dave explores self-understanding and the complexities of relationships. Influenced by the people and places of his past, Dave's work examines their present-day resonance, functioning as a visual journal of his inner world.
He favors large canvases, embracing the physicality of mark-making and composition.
He also hates writing bios, and these 10 sentences were agony.
